I am a computer scientist, game designer, and media artist who loves to make things that are fun, challenging, and useful. As of 2022 I am a founder and worker-owner of the EMMA Technology Cooperative.
My work includes games, applications, hardware, programming languages, data visualizations, websites, and more. If it’s original, meaningful, and I get to make it with my own hands, I’m into it. A strong believer that everything is for everyone, I share as much of my work as I can.
Behind my passion is a B.S. in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut, an M.F.A. in Design and Technology from Parsons The New School for Design, an Eyebeam Fellowship and over two decades of professional experience. At my side are the most talented artists and designers this side of the Atlantic, who I am honored to call my friends and collaborators.

I am drawn to the impossibly simple, the work that seems obvious in hindsight, that does not alienate but makes itself plain and naked to the viewer. A single stroke across a page that tells an entire story, a clean cut through fabric that clothes a village, a lyric that alters life trajectories.
It is critical to me that my own work be just the beginning, and I strive to empower my audience to pick apart everything I make and build their own worlds on the bones of mine. I make things that are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, so that when an intrepid explorer looks under the hood they find my voice there too, welcoming them with open arms.
I want people to come away from my practice with renewed belief in themselves and their communities, with greater contempt for those who hoard wealth and power over them, and with a deepened faith in the possibility of a better world.
Do I believe that art alone can topple empires? No, but I do believe that every raindrop contributes to the brewing storm.
